On August 31st, Emily changed her Facebook relationship status: Engaged to Adrian Budiyanto, just three days after he popped the question. He didn't propose once, but three times!!! You can never be tooo sure :). They prayed together, he read Corinthians 13:4, told her she was beautiful and thanked her for loving and accepting who he was, the good and the bad! June can't come any sooner!

Hello blog world! First time posting and super excited about it! Welcome to the Lauren John Blog... haha! well... not really, but hopefully you will be seing more of me soon. So much to post, so little time!
Wedding Coordinator: Mele Amore Events
Victoria and Brian made our "i wish we could be more like them" list last year. They surf, snowboard, jump over tall buildings and make can make ice cream out of sand. ;) We loved/love every minute with these two when we shot their engagement and the same can be said when we shot their wedding. It was amazing in every way, from the simple decor to the intimate beach ceremony setting. We seriously, seriously seriously, couldn't have been more blessed and honored to have captured it.

So fiinally after 4 years in the making, we're happy to announce our newly revamped website ...www.johnlauren.com is finally live!. If you ask Lauren, its been waaayy overdue but hey, better late than never =)
::WARNING THE FOLLOWING IS A SMALL RANT::
Let me be the first to say that it's hard, i mean really hard to come to a place where you feel like your own work is worth showcasing and I think that's the reason why it took so long. As a photographer, at least for me, I'm always trying to pursue some sort of perfection in my work but oddly enough, you can't. You're always going to adjust your technique, learn and really exceed the boundaries of creativity...that's what makes this work of photography so amazing. When you look through that viewfinder, it's never the same! But, I believe eventually, even though you should continue to strive to be better than the last time, you do come to a place where you realize that's where you want to be and as you look back on your work, you can actually see it.
Anyway, with that said, I just want to give a quick shout out to our amazing Brides and Grooms and also for our lovely friend (you know who you are!) who so graciously pull our site together =) Also to intothedarkroom for all the support!
So if you haven't done so just yet, check out the new site and if you have a second...leave us a comment and let us know what you think!

As promised, here's the post that most soon to be brides, wedding coordinators and venues look for...the details =)
Side Story...
With about a week or so to go before Erin+Calvin's big day, she asked if it would be possible to put together an Engagement Album where her guests can sign and leave messages. Long story short, after a few calls, in what should have taken at LEAST 3 weeks, we were happy to deliver the custom album seen below in a just few days (custom designed and all!) ;)
Erin+Calvin's wedding was FULL of awesome little details so w/o further ado, here are a few of them followed by a link to the Detail Story board.
Oh and PS - Erin's bouquet was one of the nicest we've ever seen...couple that with her Christian Louboutin shoes and i'd say we have ourselves a winner =)
